GAME: THE PERILOUS FLIGHT

The Perilous Fight: Who dares win the operations challenge?

The Perilous Fight is a famous movie by Martin Sheen based on the World War II and American involvement in the war.

However, the Operations game is not about the world war rather, it is about the war that supply chains face every day. The challenge of course is to increase profits and reduce costs.

Yet, it requires determination and strategies to outwit the opposition and WIN!!!

The operations game is based on managing the supply chain challenges. The game is supposed to be played in two rounds:

  • Preliminary Round
  • The Big game

The preliminary round is an elimination round. All the participating team will be sent a game file which needs to be filled in before the deadline. The elimination game file is an excel game which holds the logos of some of the most famous brands. The teams have to fill in the gamesheet and send it back within 3 hours. The gamesheet would be sent by 1:00 pm and it should return by 4:00 pm. Based on the points achieved by the teams, 4 teams will be selected for the Big game which will be held on the D day.

The selected teams would get the details of the Big game, by 8:00 pm the day before the game and need to come prepared to meet the challenge.

The teams should have 3 members each.

Chrysalis 2010 Poster!

LIBA presents Chrysalis 2010

CHRYSALIS 2010: BUSINESS IN TECHNICOLOR

Every year Chrysalis brings a new experience for everyone. This year Chrysalis is all about Business in Technicolor, the intricacies of capturing the moments that make cinematic history and all the “behind-the-scenes” action that you can handle.

If you thought management was only taught in classrooms, think again. We learnt management much before the textbooks taught us, from the guns and gore, the drama and suspense, the Danny Oceans and Bruce Waynes that movies had to offer. This year Chrysalis is going to test all the knowledge of management that movies have to offer and beyond! So it’s time for “Lights........ Camera........ and Action!”- the learning from business in movies begins.............

It’s the classic example of management being fun, and management leading to fun!!!
